KWiP -- Kids With Potential

Mentoring Program for Grades 4-8.

Mentoring programs across the country have proven to offer great rewards to those being mentored, the people doing the mentoring, and the sponsoring communities.

KWiP, the Kids With Potential Mentoring Program, recruits coaches (local high school students) and community volunteers (personal trainers) to mentor 4th -8th grade students (rookies) during the school year and the summer months.

Mentoring happens after school at the SOCK Youth Center or elsewhere in the community after an observation period. The program’s goal is to ensure that all youth achieve, and embrace a culture where achievement is rewarded. This is accomplished through mentoring activities that include academic and social mentoring, educational field trips, job-shadowing, and performance awards.

Mentors Matter. Shape the Future - Become a Mentor.
