Volunteering and Other Ways to Give

Honor another, living or deceased, by donating to SOCK to commemorate their birthday, anniversary, or holiday event.

Gift matching through an employer is a great way to maximize your donation. Check with your human resources department to see if they have a matching program that can be applied to SOCK.

Donate non-perishable food for the kids at the Conversation Café. If you or someone you know owns a restaurant, timely over-portions are always welcome in our kitchen refrigerator.

Start a music, arts or food-and-wine fundraising event. These fun, grass-roots gatherings can take place anywhere, including your home.

Volunteer, volunteer, volunteer. Consider making yourself available for one of our Friday Night kids’ events, or at some specific time that is convenient for you.

Share a common interest, hobby or skill with young people eager to learn. Help us organize hiking, biking, boating, or some type of visiting event.
